Matt Cooke did NOT end Marc savards career. savard came back after that then got taken out again… BUT the pens dont even compare to the flyers, The flyers are filled with dirty players, the pens had a dirty player til he changed his game. so that flyer/pen whos the dirtiest team discussion will always be the flyers.

-I just wanted to say something to those confessing about Matt Cooke being a dirty player, etc. While he definitely made some dirty plays in the past, if you’ve watched him at all the past two seasons you would know he’s changed. I know Matt and he has made personal changes in his life that people don’t know about that has resulted in a change in his on ice play. It really bothers me when people continue to judge him when they don’t know his story.

I have something to say about this, Matt Hunwick’s hit was actually clean. Savard is my favorite player in the league. My number is 91 in honor of that man. The way Savards head hits the glass/boards is what ended his career. It is not Matt Hunwick. The reason that Matt Cooke is to blame is because in any other situation, Savard would not have a concussion. The problem is that once you have a concussion, you can have side affects, and symptoms for literally the rest of your life. It’s brain damage, and at that age, no new brain cells can fully repair themselves, or grow back. If Matt Cooke, had not hit Savard, he would be fine, and although Hunwick had a slight doing in ending Savard’s carreer, the real person to blame is Matt Cooke.
I got no one, they are all turning their backs at me.
